| Hey Hey Hey! Okay I need to explain a lil more about myself pwahaha! My name is Ashley but you all can call me any of the names posted in my ID lol. I was born June and I am a 23 yr old from Brooklyn, NY. I have 6 sisters and 3 brothers. My interests include music, television, video games and of course drawing. My mother told me I always knew how to hold a pencil and I always loved to doodle  , I think it's genetic because so many people in my family love to draw lol. The people who inspire me are first and foremost the ones in my family, and then I would have to say Walt Disney, Stan Lee, Joe Madueira, Kuberts, Pat Lee, Lesean Thomas, J. Scott Campbell, Mark Brooks, Micheal Turner (R.I.P.), Keiji Inafune, Akira Toriyama, and then many of the awesome lady artists like Kazuya Minekura, You Higuri, Naoko Takuechi, Georgia O'keefe and I could go on forever. Growing up with shows like Looney Tunes, Simpsons, Garfield, Pepper Ann Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, Dragonball Z,reading comic books like X-men, Archies, playing games like Mega Man, Street Fighter, Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Mario bros, and animated films like Ferngully, Aladdin and The Lion King I fell in love with so many different types of animation and from that I knew I wanted to do it all, from animation to comics. I feel like I'm too old but I can't give up on my dreams and I have to work to the best of my abilities !I learned that from Georgia O'keefe, she created beautiful art until she died, when I had to do a college paper on her I respected her instantly. I hope one day my artwork gets me somewhere, if not then I won't be too upset because I draw from the heart and not for the compliments. |

| Here is the no bullshit policy when visiting my page and I'd appreciate it if everyone followed the rules. 1. Do not post bullshit on my deviations, my shoutbox etc etc just because you want to be an asshole, I've been dealing with too many people like that and it's getting on my nerves. This shouldnt happen to any artist on deviantart because people on this site work too hard on their creations and they do not deserve that kind of treatment. 2. No spamming please, I had this problem with one of my deviations and someone complained just because they didnt like the character design which had nothing to do with me and I didnt even come up with the character design, their comments had nothing do with my deviation. If you have issues with the character designs that someone else created take it up with them dammit! It's not my problem. 3. I don't mind critiques one bit, but do not start nagging me about formal training, fundamentals, etc etc and how much I need it because I don't care to hear it. I'm not against formal training because I actually went to college and I was a graphic design major, I plan on attending Pratt University in the future,There is nothing wrong with formal training and I do not feel like I am too good...but I've been drawing since I was in kindergarten, I know where my heart is and don't tell me I don't take this seriously because I never had actual training. I'm not acting like I'm Andy Warhol but don't approach me with the attitude of an art snob. Just because you were trained doesnt make you or your artwork above others, also please remember that unfortunatly everyone does not have the financial assistance to get "formal training" so back off. I'm not only speaking on my behalf I'm speaking for others who have this problem. 4. Please for the love of god, do not use my artwork without permission. 5. Do not even come in here with that "anime can only be done in japan" garbage because I will school you so badly you'll be begging for a letter of recommendation. DON'T EVEN TRY IT! 6. Do not bash Michael Jackson 7. Don't harass my family or my friends here on DA. |
